Contact CRHL Office for MINI-WATTS  Registration  (Cost $145 - 2010-2011 season)

Welcome to the CRHL’s program for early skating and hockey development, Mini-Watts.  Ontario Power Generation is the program sponsor and I would like to thank them for their generous and ongoing community support.

The program is designed to help 4 and 5 year old future hockey players get off to a good start.  Skating and balance drills will be the focus for the beginning of the program, with puck control being introduced later on.  The program will run for 11 weeks starting in October.  A second session will be offered for 11 weeks commencing in January.

My name is Tom Lenehan.  I have taken the CHIP program (Canadian Hockey Initiation Program) and I have my Level One Coaching.  As well, I have coached in the CRHL for the past 19 years.  Every year has been a different, but rewarding, experience.  It is my hope that every player will leave the program with new-found confidence, as well as some hockey knowledge. It is my belief that FUN, FUN, FUN is the way to teach young players.

Parents, please have your child dressed in full hockey equipment: helmet, CSA approved throat guard, mouth guard, knee pads, gloves, elbow pads, hockey pants, shoulder pads, athletic support (both boys and girls), hockey socks, properly fitting skates and a junior shaft stick with a straight blade.  Each player will receive a jersey from the program.

Have your child dressed and ready to go ten minutes before their scheduled ice time.  Delays not only impede your child’s performance, but also affect the rest of the group.

Anyone interested in helping out, please contact me at 905-439-1587.

Yours in hockey,
Tom Lenehan
