Clinic Refunds

Clinic reimbursement policy - CRHL Board approved  - 2012 11 20

 

Coach:

Certification - appropriate certification for the division being coached, 100% reimbursement of the clinic cost equal to the lesser of (a) the amount paid, or (b) the amount charged by the CRHL for this course. (Some centres charge more than what the CRHL charges for the same course, and we have always limited our reimbursements to the amount the CRHL charges.)

The coach clinic fee that the CRHL would charge in the 2017-2018 season is $180.

Certification refresher - 100% reimbursement of the clinic cost equal to the lesser of (a) the amount paid, or (b) the amount charged by the CRHL for this course.

The coach refresher fee that the CRHL would charge in the 2017-2018 season is $70.

PRS (Respect in Sport - Activity Leader) - 100% reimbursement.

 

Trainer:  (only one per team)

Certification - 100% reimbursement of the clinic cost.  (This is an on-line course.)

Certification refresher - 100% reimbursement.

PRS (Respect in Sport - Activity Leader) - 100% reimbursement.

 

Manager:

PRS (Respect in Sport - Activity Leader) - 100% reimbursement.

 

Assistant Coach: (only one per team)

Certification - appropriate certification for the division being coached, 100% reimbursement of the clinic cost equal to the lesser of (a) the amount paid, or (b) the amount charged by the CRHL for this course.

Certification refresher - 100% reimbursement of the clinic cost equal to the lesser of (a) the amount paid, or (b) the amount charged by the CRHL for this course.

PRS (Respect in Sport - Activity Leader) - 100% reimbursement.

 

Additional information:

Although there may be other bench staff such as assistant coaches or trainers rostered to a team, clinic reimbursements are limited as described above.

For team rosters, the minimum a team must have is a coach and a trainer.  Teams are able to roster 5 bench staff in total, made up with at least one coach and at least one trainer. The next rostered position must be manager.

Reimbursements are limited to clinic charges as outlined above.  The league does not reimburse any other out-of-pocket expenses such as travel costs or meals.

 

Refunds:

Refunds are handled in the CRHL office.  Please submit your receipt which will show the course taken.  There is a refund claim form at the office that everyone must complete.  Your claim can be left at the office anytime, but it will not be processed for payment until sometime after December 31 of each year.  Teams must be rostered before reimbursements can be given, and refunds are only given for the clinic that matches the position that has been approved on your team roster.

The deadline to submit your reimbursement claim is March 31 of the current season.  i.e., March 31, 2018 is the deadline for the 2017-2018 season.  Any claims submitted after that will not be paid.
